Tourist squirrel

Radio blackbird has been travelling, and I’ve been trying to capture some impressions over the past few days. On Monday I went to the National Portrait Gallery to meet an old friend and took the longer route via the early (white) American history section, and here is a quick ink drawing.

A squirrel looks at portraits in a museum setting. The portraits are of squirrels in late colonial American settings

The portraits are based on real portraits from the Gallery – my original drawing is small so I couldn’t squeeze in a lot of info for you to guess which ones, and they’re not to scale. I selected them from the 1820s decade if you want to go hunting them down. Post your guesses in the comments!
